Privacy Policy

No account. No login. No personal data.

MyTax has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration. We do not collect your name, email address, PAN, Aadhaar, or any personal identifier. There is no database storing your information.

Your financial data stays on your device

All income figures, deduction amounts, and tax calculations you enter are stored only in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023, data stored solely on a user's own device is not considered “personal data” collected by us. We have no obligation — and no ability — to access, share, or delete it.

Document parsing

When you upload a document (Form-16, AIS, broker report, etc.), it is transmitted to our parsing service over an encrypted HTTPS connection, processed in memory, and discarded immediately after data extraction. No document is written to disk or retained on any server. The extracted data is returned to your browser only and is subject to the same local-storage-only rule above.

Cookies and advertising

MyTaxitself sets no cookies. If you accept the cookie consent banner, Google AdSense may place advertising cookies on your browser. Declining shows non-personalised ads only (or no ads at all if the ad network requires consent). You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site.

We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, privacy-respecting usage metrics. No personal identifier is collected. No cross-site tracking occurs.

Affiliate / sponsored links

Some pages may display sponsored links to third-party services (tax filing platforms, brokers, insurance). These are clearly labelled “Sponsored”. Clicking them may earn MyTax a referral commission at no cost to you. No financial data or personal information is passed to these partners when you click a link.

Clearing your data

Go to Profile → Clear all my datato wipe all tax information stored in your browser. Alternatively, clear your browser's site data for mytax.thikada.com. Because we store nothing server-side, this is the complete and final removal of your data.

Scope — mytax.thikada.com only

This privacy policy applies exclusively to mytax.thikada.com. It does not cover thikada.com or any other subdomain. Each Thikada product has its own independent privacy policy.
